You want your wedding to be special, so how do you find the right celebrant – especially as you don’t get a second chance to make the right choice? As well as meeting a few celebrants for a chat – and trusting your gut feeling – you may also like to ask the following questions:

►Is the celebrant willing to meet you at a time that fits in with both your schedules
Birralee will meet you after work or on weekends. I know it is too hard to get time off work, especially if you have different work schedules.
►Does the celebrant have a quality, portable sound system so that all the guests can hear

►Will the celebrant order the standard marriage certificate for you (needed for change of name)
She is able to order the standard/ commemorative certificate for you and save you the job. The cost is just whatever Births, Deaths & Marriages is currently charging.
►Will the celebrant come up with ideas for your wedding if you want something different
Birralee really enjoys creating special elements for weddings e.g. one couple were adamant they did not want flowery vows, so she wrote up some straight from the question sheet. They laughed and said they would love keep them in.
